As its name suggests, Lava Stone is cooled magma from a volcanic activity. Therefore, it has strong connections to the Phoenix Totem. Choose it during times of change and transformation or when you want to call on the element of fire. Its naturally porous surface makes it ideal for aromatherapy- add a few drops of your favorite oil and rub it into the stone. Because of its nature- this stone is very accustomed to sudden intensity- so don’t be afraid to work through your raw emotions in its company. In fact- that’s its specialty. Place in the sun for the best and easiest method of charging. If using it for aromatherapy- simply rinse it with soap and water when done. It’s primarily a Root Chakra stone but I’ve seen it be used as an activator for the Sacral and Solar Plexus as well- especially when combined with other stones for those corresponding chakras.
